We have an immediate requirement for PC and mobile software developers to join our game design and development team.

The Role

Working as part of a multi-discipline development team you will help design and develop game software through the full product development life cycle for a range of UK and international coin operated (and potentially mobile) markets.

Required Skills

• Degree in Games Programming/Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• C++ programming experience in a Windows/Linux environment
• OpenGL and/or DirectX.
• Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• 3D engines such as Unity, Godot, Irrlicht, Unreal etc.
• C#
• Android/iOS.

Bell-Fruit Games is looking to appoint a ‘Mechanical Design & Development Engineer’ to join a team of Engineers in Nottingham.


This opportunity will ideally suit a bright and enthusiastic engineer with an Engineering degree.

The successful applicant will be working within and supported by a small team of engineers, they will be encouraged to develop their technical skills through various on-the-job learning experiences. It is also an outstanding opportunity for a bright, mechanical or product design engineer with an effective mix of practical engineering, aesthetic design and commercial product delivery skills.

The Role:

You will be expected to contribute ideas and become proactively involved in the development of new products from an early stage. You will be tasked with generating new mechanical products as well as re-designing and modifying existing ones.


You will be part of a Development team which resolves design and functionality issues and liaises on new product developments/introductions with our production team, so good communication skills are important.

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• Mechanical product design & improvements including prototyping.
• Produce 3D models & drawing layouts ensuring functionality & manufacturing of all components.
• Define component specification for tooling.
• Apply problem solving skills to address design & functional issues.
• Keep fully updated on design changes & new product introduction.
• Materials and Manufacturing Technique Selection
• Design Reviews and Customer Acceptance

Key skills required:

• Competent 3D skills, preferably ‘Solidworks’
• Excellent communication skills; high level of verbal and written
• An attitude and willingness to succeed.
• A passion and desire for design and development.
• A practical and functional can-do personality, together with an excellent attention to detail.
• An excellent ability to solve design and general engineering problems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious, confident working under their own initiative and able to communicate well within the team.
